04.03.2008 E-TEN and Acer announce acquisition agreement

E-TEN Information Systems has announced that it has accepted an acquisition offer from the world's third-ranked PC vendor, Acer Inc. The deal is expected to accelerate the penetration of E-TEN's products and services, including Glofiish-brand Pocket PC Phones, on a global level while enabling E-TEN to deliver more efficient local support to its existing customers.

03.03.2008 GSmart announces distribution partnership in Russia market in 2008

Feb. 21th. 2008. GSmart, revealed Edge/3.5G GPS series devices in Moscow. GSmart continues to expand further pda phones & mobility technology this year in order to fulfill Russian market needs of mobility, portability and multi-functionality. In Russia, GSmart ally with innovative distributors such as Vobis, Business Bureau & Marvel to develop business. For MW700 & MS800, Vobis will be the exclusive distribution partner. For other future new models, GSmart will work closely with above partners to align product roadmaps, marketing efforts and channel development to provide an enhanced complimentary solution for customers.

GiIGA-BYTE Communications announces news GSmart i350 device, which is being the first GPS PDA-phone of GIGA-BYTE with VGA screen in Russian. PDA-phone is operating Windows Mobile 6.0. Professional. Compact glossy body contains GPS navigation, Track Recognition system and Photo Sharing, which allows to a user to get back to one’s favorite routs and places at any moment. Moreover a user can inform about one’s location simply by sending SMS (Location Message).

A new firmware for Glofiish X500+, version 0486, has been released. All inaccuracies, marked by users in the previous version of software, have been corrected in this firmware.
